Chicago, IL, June 1, 2026 — The Society of Actuaries (SOA) announces the addition of eight universities from around the world to its Universities and Colleges with Actuarial Programs (UCAP) listing. • Thammasat University, Klongluang, Pathumthani, Thailand
  • University of New Haven, West Haven, Connecticut
  • University of the Philippines Los Baños, Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines

  • University of Missouri – St. Louis, St. Louis, Missouri

The following universities earned the UCAP–Advanced Curriculum tier:

Additionally, four universities that previously held UCAP-Introductory Curriculum status have transitioned to the UCAP-Advanced Curriculum tier:

  • University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Tunapuna-Piarco, Trinidad
  • University of Lagos, Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria
  • University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware

To achieve the Introductory Curriculum tier, programs must maintain course coverage for at least two SOA preliminary exams and at least one Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) topic area. The Advanced Curriculum level requires courses covering at least four SOA preliminary exams, including at least one of the SOA’s Advanced Actuarial Mathematics Exams (Long-term or Short-term), along with approved courses for all VEE topic areas.

The SOA UCAP list serves as a resource for students seeking university/college actuarial programs worldwide. UCAP institutions receive direct communication from the SOA about updates in SOA exams/curriculum, news relevant to universities, and special opportunities for universities on the list. UCAP-Advanced Curriculum institutions are eligible for reimbursement for student SOA preliminary exam fees and support for study materials, on-campus actuarial events, or student travel to approved actuarial conferences. Learn more about UCAP benefits and the full SOA UCAP listing.
